A little late on this but wanted to put some pictures up from the ice storm on our side of the bay. From what I saw in St. George, there was more ice on the trees there than here in Mascarene. There was even less ice down in lower Letete, perhaps because it was closer to the water and warmer. What ever the impact, the landscape sure was sparkley for Christmas. Hope your holiday was merry and bright.
Beautiful photos Bryan - you know, I have always seen something special in your photos and I could try to explain with words such as composition, depth of field, blah, blah, blah... but it comes down to this: you have an uncanny ability to see interesting things and the skill to convey that vision to the viewer!
Wow, Jesse, You get a prize for saying the nicest thing! Thanks man. Hope you are getting just the right amount of snow these days. We enjoyed the snow for a bit but have lost nearly all of it now.
Ice storms are really troubling, not only for us humans, but also for all the other inhabitants of our world. Let us not forget the fact that there are still other living entities that reside the earth. Among us are the different species of amazing animals and plants. We all live in the same land and it really frightens me that some of them have no shelter when the ice storm comes. I really hope that they manage to survive the terrible weather.
